VCU explores AI-based liver imaging

Richmond, Va.-based VCU Health is partnering with medtech company HistoIndex to deploy the company’s artificial intelligence-based imaging tool at its research building.

The company’s Genesis 200 Second Harmonic Generation/Two-Photon Excitation imaging system is used in the development of drugs to treat nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, according to an April 10 HistoIndex news release.

The health system will work with the Singapore-based medtech company to get FDA approval for its imaging system.
