Under the partnership, MedStar Health will link patients with DispatchHealth according to their clinical requirements, geographical location and insurance eligibility, prior to their release from inpatient units or emergency departments at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center, both located in Washington, D.C.
If patients choose to receive follow-up care from DispatchHealth, the company’s medical professionals will provide them with in-home care, according to an April 4 news release from MedStar.
DispatchHealth then sends any information and follow-up requests from patients to MedStar Health.
