Here are three things to know.

1. Confirm ID is a user identity and two-factor authentication platform designed for the healthcare industry.

2. The platform initially launched in February 2015 as a secure signing solution for EPCS. Now, the Confirm ID’s new capabilities address remote access, medical device security and in-process authentication for clinical transactions.

3. “A single, centralized authentication management platform improves security and compliance auditing across the enterprise by enabling better control over how, when, and where users interact with patient records and other sensitive information,” said Aaron Miri, CIO of Walnut Hill Medical Center in Dallas. “At the same time, giving users fast, convenient authentication options ensures no disruption to workflows and gives providers more time to focus on patient care.”
