HIMSS, CHIME partner to extend international reach

Two health IT professional societies, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and College of Health Information Management Executives, have entered an agreement to partner on all programs outside of North America.

Through this partnership, called HIMSS-CHIME International, the two organizations will collaboratively offer a range of health IT executive boot camps, leadership academies, certifications and events abroad. "The establishment of HIMSS-CHIME International stems from our already successful Healthcare CIO Boot Camps and Executive Leadership Academies that we partnered with HIMSS to produce, beginning in 2015," said Russell Branzell, president and CEO of CHIME.

In part, this agreement builds on the global infrastructure HIMSS has been laying the groundwork for over the past 10 years, which includes the establishment of offices in Germany, Singapore and the United Kingdom. "CHIME's healthcare executive content perfectly complements the events, communities, analytics and content offerings of HIMSS," said H. Stephen Lieber, president and CEO of HIMSS.
