Wilma N. Vázquez Medical Center uses Meditech’s Web EHR, which includes evidence-based order sets to reduce errors and to encourage accurate care decisions. Since introducing the system, Wilma N. Vázquez Medical Center has seen a 20 percent increase in cash flow and a 30 percent decrease in wait time at its emergency department.

José Pabón, CEO of Wilma N. Vázquez Medical Center, said that the EHR helps to identify potential problems and solutions.

“Having evidence-based content at our fingertips is making a world of difference for us, in terms of reducing errors, lowering clinical denials and making better information available to all of our staff,” Mr. Pabón said. “We can more easily identify potential problems like HACs, and intervene faster.”
