The co-initiative, HX360, is a series of services and support systems to help health systems adopt “next generation” technologies, largely non-EMR platform technologies. Such services include helping identify contemporary provider challenges — or areas of healthcare delivery that could immediately benefit from the new technologies — and tools to help leaders assess their preparedness for addressing healthcare delivery challenges using new technologies.
“While platform technologies such as the EMR have set the stage for improving healthcare delivery via more effective data collection, these technologies have also not substantially changed the way that clinical care is delivered,” said Roy Smythe, MD, CEO of HX360. “HX360 seeks to close the gaps that exist between the needs of healthcare leaders and the new technologies that have been created and will continue to evolve, or what we are referring to as next generation technologies.”
