1. Digital health developers will hone in on user-centered experiences.

2. Providers will expect more from technology, such as enhanced interfaces and workflows.

3. Hospitals will target technology solutions that alleviate clinical and financial risks.

4. National efforts to develop interoperability approaches and trusted exchange frameworks will meet their goals.

5. A diverse health IT workforce will emerge, encompassing clinicians and IT developers.

6. Cyberattacks and severe weather will test IT infrastructure.

7. Artificial intelligence and data analytics capabilities will drive EHR usability.

8. Large health systems will purchase more precision medicine solutions.

9. Telehealth and remote patient monitoring usage will grow as a result of new reimbursement codes.

10. The healthcare industry will continue to decentralize through data sharing between many organizations.
