The attack involved internet-hosted users of the company’s Intergy EHR and practice management platform. The company has back-ups of the data on its platform and “expects little or no data loss,” according to a company statement.
The company is also working with law enforcement, including the FBI to resolve the issue.
“We deeply regret any disruption this criminal attack could cause to your practice and for any concerns it may cause to your patients,” Greenway Health CEO Scott Zimmerman told affected customers at a meeting.
The company is offering enhanced customer service and support to the affected customers. It does not believe customers using other platforms will be affected by the attack.
