The workshop was designed to foster discussion about the FDA’s draft guidance for mobile medical applications and encourage public comment from stakeholders. Specific topics the FDA wanted to address included aspects of the draft guidance. The FDA also sought feedback on how it should approach accessories and standalone software that provide clinical decision support.
Comments on the draft guidance are due by Oct. 19.
