The Health Information Trust Alliance, a private collaboration focused on health information security, has named Carl Dvorak, president of Epic, to its board of directors.
"As the original developer of several Epic applications, Mr. Dvorak is responsible for all technical and service areas and brings unique perspective and extensive skills in developing and supporting EHRs to HITRUST," according to HITRUST.
HITRUST works with leaders in healthcare, business, technology and information security. The alliance established the Common Security Framework, an information security framework for organizations to adopt to securely create, access, store and exchange personal health and financial information.
