Epic adds Nuance's virtual assistant; Allscripts launches new EHR & more — 13 health IT keynotes

1. Epic has equipped its EHRs with Nuance Communications' new artificial intelligence-powered virtual assistant technology.

2. Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic is partnering with Epic to offer care plans and patient-facing content through Epic's MyChart Virtual Care within the MyChart mobile app.

3. The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society acquired Healthbox, one of the world's first digital health accelerators, which will now function as a wholly owned subsidiary of HIMSS.

4. Kyruus, a provider of healthcare search and scheduling solutions, is joining forces with IBM.
