Philips adds IoT, cloud, AI to product line

Philips, focusing on integration, interoperability, internet of things devices and artificial intelligence, is expanding its product portfolio, according to internet of business.

It is adding an array of new IoT, AI, health management, clinical informatics, cloud and analytics solutions that  are "critical to operational, clinical and financial efficiency." The new technologies will "optimise care pathways, workflows and system utilisation," the company said, according to internet of business.

Here are three products the company plans to launch.

1. FocusPoint is a web management system that helps organizations monitor and troubleshoot various equipment. It aims to "improve biomedical and IT department productivity."

2. HealthSuite Insights helps users leverage data science, big data analytics and AI to enhance productivity. It is built on the cloud and has blockchain security capabilities.

3. The Insights Marketplace will offer "licensable AI assets" to healthcare organizations and vendors.

"Philips' deep expertise in healthcare information technology, including AI, combined with insights gained from our strong customer relationships, uniquely positions us to unlock the collective intelligence and insights across departments within the hospital to deliver the right information at the right time to clinicians," Carla Kriwet, CEO of connected care and health informatics at Philips, told internet of business.
