Meditech has partnered with AvoMD to embed the company’s AI scribe technology into its Expanse EHR.

Avo’s ambient listening tool will now be available natively to hospitals using Meditech, offering AI-driven support for clinical documentation, care recommendations, differential diagnoses, clinical documentation improvement and coding suggestions, according to an Aug. 12 news release from AvoMD.

The AI Scribe is designed for rural and community hospitals and supports real-time, multi-speaker, multi-language patient encounters, pulls patient data from Meditech and institutional protocols, and generates structured documentation. Users can also customize note-writing styles and preferences.

Avo said its platform has delivered a 72% reduction in documentation time, an 87% reduction in chart review time, a 74% clinician-reported improvement in patient care, and a 20% increase in encounters completed within 24 hours.
