Cambridge (Mass.) Health Alliance has recognized Epic founder and CEO Judy Faulkner with its Art of Healing Award for her philanthropic contributions to the safety-net health system.
Epic’s charitable giving has funded programs expanding patient access at Cambridge Health Alliance, and Ms. Faulkner has supported the three-hospital system’s newly renovated Birth Center. The organization honored her at a June 5 gala in Everett, Mass.
“I am grateful for the wonderful collaboration between Epic and CHA and for this meaningful recognition,” Ms. Faulkner said in a June 11 news release shared with Becker’s. “We at Epic have great respect for the work CHA is doing and are aligned in our focus on compassion and innovation — doing good and helping to improve healthcare, not just today but for generations to come.”
CHA has been an Epic customer for more than 20 years, during which it pioneered early Spanish- and Portuguese-language MyChart adoption and became the first health system to fully integrate Epic Video Client with interpreter services.
