Epic has designated NESA’s virtual care platform as the first inpatient virtual care solution in its toolbox, effective Aug. 11.
The platform has met Epic’s standards for inpatient integration and functionality, according to an Aug. 11 news release from NESA. Its system embeds directly into the Epic EHR, allowing clinicians to conduct virtual consultations, monitor patients and coordinate care without leaving the Epic environment.
The platform has been deployed across North America and Europe and supports unlimited workflows for patients of all ages. Capabilities include Epic ECAL/CAL integration, MyChart Bedside TV access, AI-enabled audio and video, multi-participant sessions, enterprise-grade NDAA-compliant hardware and flexible in-room or mobile configurations, the release said.
