Health systems and tech companies like Epic are teaming up to advance care at home with digital solutions.
The Connected Health Collaborative Community — which is cohosted by the Digital Medicine Society and Consumer Technology Association, and supported by Worcester, Mass.-based UMass Chan Medical School’s Program in Digital Medicine — recently introduced a blueprint to boost tech-enabled aging at home for older adults.
The blueprint’s partners include Epic, Verizon, Worcester, Mass.-based UMass Memorial Health, Portland-based Oregon Health & Science University, and Boston-based Harvard Medical School.
Care at home is largely on hold amid the federal government shutdown, which ended the CMS hospital-at-home waiver and Medicare reimbursement for telehealth.
