Dreamit Health Philadelphia is an accelerator program powered by Independence Blue Cross, University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Medicine and Dreamit Ventures. The incubator hosts a 16-week boot camp from July to October to supply the class with tools and resources to develop solutions for some of the biggest challenges in healthcare.
This is the third startup class for Dreamit Health. The teams comprising this year’s class are:
CareCierge (Philadelphia): Concierge services for individuals caring for an ill or aging loved one.
dBaza Health (Pittsburgh): An onboarding platform for patients to help manage chronic diseases.
GraphWear Technologies (Philadelphia): Flexible sensors enhanced by grapheme that measure blood sugar, dehydration and the rate at which one burns fat.
Gray Matter Technologies (Austin, Texas): A mouthguard that detects impact and identifies potential concussion risks.
Neutun Labs (Toronto, Canada): Smartwatch and wearable tracking software for individuals with epilepsy.
Oncora Medical (Philadelphia): Analytics software for radiation oncologists to compare data with past cases.
Pallas Medical (Boulder, Colo.): Mobile device that cools the scalp during chemotherapy and also helps prevent hair loss.
VisExcell (New York): Computer-aided detection in mammograms that uses big data and advanced machine learning algorithms.
