The division focuses on payment and revenue risk management solutions, in an effort to help health payers avoid costs. In his new role, Mr. Alkhafaji will oversee technology architecture, platform enhancements, new solution development and IT operations for Discovery Health Partners, which serves more than 50 health plans.
Mr. Alkhafaji most recently served as CTO of HealthEngine. Prior to that, he cofounded Cancer IQ, a cancer risk analysis application program interface that integrates with hospital information systems.
