The 39-hospital system extended virtual care to Illinois, Nebraska and South Dakota on April 9, according to a news release shared with Becker’s.

UnityPoint Health‘s on-demand virtual offerings are available daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for patients 2 and older. The services include virtual urgent care video visits and SmartExam, where patients answer questions online and get a care plan recommendation from a provider within an hour. SmartExam costs $30 out of pocket and does not accept insurance.

Patients access the services through MyUnityPoint, the health system’s version of Epic’s MyChart patient portal.
