The Waukesha, Wis.-based Dedicated Computing will incorporate Infortrend’s data storage technology into its suite of technology solutions, which includes a variety of software and management solutions available to business in the healthcare, energy and manufacturing industries as well as the military and government agencies. The growing presence of personalized medicine, which generates vast amounts of data, is driving the need for more efficient data storage, according to a news release.
Infortrend, which has offices globally and bases its U.S. operations out of Sunnyvale, Calif., will provide sufficient data storage space to Dedicated Computing’s healthcare customers and increase its customer base, according to the news release.
“The extension of our storage portfolio through Dedicated Computing is a testament to our commitment to offering users scalability, easy management and maximum return on investment,” said Tony Chu, president of Infortrend, in the news release. “Dedicated Computing’s experience in the markets they serve, such as healthcare and life sciences, provides us strategic access to that customer base as well as a more streamlined supply chain to serve it.”
