The HITRUST CTX Deceptive platform deploys “honeypots” across a healthcare organization’s information systems. A “honeypot” decoy is a security system that appears to be a legitimate part of an organization’s systems, but actually monitors and blocks users attempting to gain unauthorized access.
The goal of the HITRUST CTX Deceptive threat detection platform is to support organizations in cyberthreat management and response by providing insight into how cyberattackers infiltrate healthcare information systems like EHRs and medical devices.
HITRUST CTX Deceptive marks the second phase of HITRUST and Trend Micro’s HITRUST Cyber Threat Management and Response Center, which the organizations announced Aug. 3.
