The HITRUST Cyber Threat Management and Response Center will build on the capabilities of the existing HITRUST Cyber Threat Xchange, a cyberthreat information-sharing organization focused on the healthcare industry. The new center will focus on cyberthreat management by helping healthcare organizations share and apply this type of threat information in a timely manner.
“Today cyber threat information sharing is generally defined in terms of a broad set of activities,” HITRUST said in a statement. “However[,] little consideration is given to the ability of the recipient to consume the information and react, commensurate with the maturity of its information security resources, security technologies and processes.”
The HITRUST Cyber Threat Management and Response Center will be available Oct. 1.
