Computer system shuts down at Virginia medical group

Computers at Norfolk, Va.-based Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists are not working due to technical difficulties, the medical group announced to patients Feb. 7.

All departments within Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists have been affected by the technical issues. Clinicians are unable to respond to patient requests, including appointments and other information. Phone lines to answer patient questions and receive faxes at Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists are still functional.

Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists does not expect its computer system to be back online before Feb. 10.
