Three things to know:
1. Xfinity’s customer support Twitter account tweeted Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. that service is beginning to return for affected customers. The company wrote that the intermittent outages were the result of a network issue.
2. The outage appeared to affect cities from San Francisco to Philadelphia as well as parts of New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Illinois, according to CNN.
3. The issue came after a major outage in the Bay Area Nov. 8 that resulted in internet downtime for tens of thousands of customers, local CBS affiliate KPIX reported. Comcast had begun restoring access to people in the region before the larger national outage took services down across the rest of the country.
