Cerner partners with Uber Health & 12 other health IT notes

Here's the latest roundup of stories about health IT companies, including Amazon, Cerner and Google.

1. Suki, an artificial intelligence, voice-enabled digital assistant for physicians, will serve as a clinical digital assistant partner to Google Cloud.

2. A federal court granted approval Oct. 25 to Quest Diagnostics to settle a class-action lawsuit that stemmed from a 2016 data breach for $195,000.

3. As part of Microsoft's Project Hanover, biomedical researchers from the Jackson Laboratory are refining an artificial intelligence tool that "reads" medical documents to inform the development of precision cancer treatments.

4. University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Cardinal Health and Amazon Web Services are partnering with Virtusa, an IT and digital health solutions provider, to use artificial intelligence techniques in medical research.

5. Vively Health, a home-based primary care provider for patients with multiple chronic conditions, will implement a Cerner EHR and population health management platform.

6. Google's parent company, Alphabet, made a bid to purchase Fitbit, a source confirmed with CNBC Oct. 28.

7. Facebook rolled out a new healthcare feature Oct. 28 that allows users to find nearby physicians and clinics as well as set reminders for appointments.
