∙William Yasnoff, MD, PhD, CEO of nonprofit Heath Record Banking Alliance
The board will advise the company on regulatory health IT trends, HIPAA compliance and best practices for patient outcomes, according to a Feb. 4 news release.
Carpathia, based in Dulles, Va., gained notoriety for legal scuffles with the online video hosting website MegaUpload, which stored its data on Carpathia’s servers. After the government shut the website down and seized its assets, Carpathia became embroiled in an ongoing legal battle about preserving the data.
The company keeps data centers in 4 U.S. locations and more than 95 worldwide. Its main areas of business include government data, digital media, healthcare and corporate.
