Caradigm launches interoperability tools: 4 key points

Enterprise population health company Caradigm has rolled out a suite of several interoperability tools for healthcare providers using its Caradigm Intelligence Platform.

Here are four key points on Caradigm's Open Exchange.

1. Open Exchange is a set of interoperability capabilities designed to support population health initiatives.

2. Open Exchange leverages Caradigm's authentication, authorization, patient consent, auditing and reporting and role-based access control features.

3. "For population health to truly have an impact on the quality of healthcare delivery, IT systems across the healthcare community — whether they be from individual physician practices, hospitals, clinics, labs or radiology centers — must be able to seamlessly exchange data," said Caradigm CEO Michael Simpson.

4. Caradigm also received certification from ConCert by HIMSS, a testing and certification program focused on secure and reliable data transfer amongst EHRs, health information exchanges and health information services providers.
