Madison Memorial to pay $16M to implement Cerner EHR

Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, Idaho, considered Cerner, Epic and MEDITECH when on the hunt for a new EHR, but ultimately chose Cerner’s system, according to a Standard Journal report.

The hospital’s board moved to go ahead with Cerner during a Feb. 25 meeting, according to the report. Madison Memorial plans to spend $16 million to purchase the new EHR. Implementation will begin in June with an estimated go-live date 14 months later.

After the initial purchase price, the hospital will pay an $86,475 ongoing, monthly maintenance fee, according to the report.
