CA Technologies acquires security software provider Xceedium

CA Technologies is acquiring Xceedium, a security software provider, in an effort to round out its enterprise identity management software portfolio, according to a CIO report.

The terms of the deal, which is expected to close by September, were not disclosed.

CA Technologies already offers the CA Privileged Identity Manager, a service which controls access to a company’s services. The addition of Xceedium and its Xsuite extends access control to cloud operations beyond an organization’s firewall, according to the report.
