University Pathologists, based in Warwick, R.I., provides hospital-based professional anatomic pathology services to eight hospitals affiliated with several systems and – through its technical lab in Fall River, Mass. – to various physician practices in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

This acquisition is Aurora’s tenth acquisition overall and eighth in the hospital laboratory sector since 2013. Serving more than 100 hospitals throughout the U.S., Aurora Diagnostics is a leader in providing hospital lab management services.
