Tim O’Brien, currently vice president of corporate development at athenahealth, will become chief marketing officer, effective January 2016. Mr. O’Brien also currently manages integration efforts between athenahealth and Epocrates, a clinical decision support tool that athenahealth acquired in 2013.
Rob Cosinuke currently serves as chief marketing officer, but he will assume a position in the athenahealth Leadership Institute, a newly created role in which he will assist organizations as they transition from fee-for-service care to outcomes-based care.
Dan Haley has been appointed general counsel, effective immediately. He is taking over duties for Daniel Orenstein, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. Mr. Haley currently is vice president of government and regulatory affairs and assistant general counsel.
Effective immediately, Kyle Armbrester will become chief product officer. He has been serving as acting chief product officer since May.
“We have always believed that shifting responsibilities and cultivating talent internally is important for building and maintaining an outstanding team,” said athenahealth CEO Jonathan Bush. “We are fortunate that our bench is deep enough to move the right people to the upper ranks.”
