Beddit on May 8 acknowledged the acquisition in its updated privacy policy, which now notes: “Beddit has been acquired by Apple. Your personal data will be collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the Apple Privacy Policy.”
The Finnish company has received about $3.5 million in funding since launching in 2007, according to TechCrunch. Beddit products have been sold in Apple stores since 2015, where its newest sleep monitoring device retails for roughly $150.
The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
