Apixio appoints former UnitedHealthcare CIO to board chairman

Jim P. Bradley, a former CIO at UnitedHealthcare, has been named chairman of Apixio’s board.

Apixio, a healthcare-focused data science company, uses machine learning and text analytics to provide payers and providers with decision support. In 2016, it analyzed over 65 million clinical documents for more than 1.5 million patients enrolled in Medicare Advantage and commercial insurance plans.

Mr. Bradley currently serves as chairman of the board for both NovuHealth and Wellpartner. He formerly served as chief technologist at McKesson and chief executive of RxHub, which is now SureScripts.
