The move is meant to encourage cross-company collaboration by bringing together software engineers, software developers, data scientists, product analysts and project managers from across GE Healthcare, GE Transportation and GE Digital.
GE Healthcare also hopes the new location will facilitate connections with startups, associations and health systems, as Chicago — which has been named on roundups like Business Insider‘s “25 most high-tech cities in the world” list — is becoming the “Silicon Valley of the Midwest,” according to GE.
