ANSI Approved for 2nd Term as ONC Accreditor

The American National Standards Institute has been given a second three-year term as the ONC-Approved Accreditor for the ONC’s health IT certification program.

The ONC-AA is in charge of accrediting the certification bodies that test electronic health record systems to determine if they meet the ONC’s standards and meet the requirements for certification for use in the EHR incentive programs.

ANSI was selected for meeting general federal guidelines for accreditation organizations as well as for the group’s previous experience in this role.
