This service allows American Well clients such as health systems, health plans and employers to offer customers virtual access to international board-certified lactation consultants. Consults are available via on-demand or scheduled video visit to provide new mothers with advice about issues like latching, weaning and breastfeeding at work.
American Well is the only telehealth provider to offer breastfeeding support services through a clinical partner, according to a news release.
