5 most interesting health IT partnerships

Hospitals and health systems teamed up with health IT companies, startups and telehealth organizations this week to develop new initiatives, technologies and innovative projects.

Here are five of the most interesting health IT partnerships and collaborations reported by Becker's Hospital Review this week.

1. Meijer's 114 stores and pharmacies throughout Michigan have joined the state's prescription drug monitoring program in an effort to help curb the opioid crisis.

2. Cincinnati-based Mercy Health is joining forces with PatientPing, a health technology company focused on patient care coordination. 

3. Castlight Health, a health navigation platform that connects health vendors, benefits resources and plan designs, completed new partnerships with five digital health companies and 26 new customers in its third quarter of 2017.

4. The Iowa Health Information Network signed a software-as-a-service agreement with the Koble Group, a Minnesota state-certified health information organization.

5. InTouch Health and Vivify Health are partnering to integrate Vivify Health's remote care management solutions with InTouch Health's telehealth platform.
