4 recent vendor contracts, go-lives

The following health IT vendor contracts and go-lives were reported within the past week.

1. IBM is working with Houston-based Rice University to create sensors for a robot that will help senior citizens remain healthy and safe while living alone.

2. Springfield, Mo.-based CoxHealth has expanded DirectConnect, its telemedicine program, across the state. 

3. Hospira and Iatric Systems are collaborating to create interoperability between Hospira’s smart infusion devices and Iatric’s Accelero Connect integration software. 

4. Marshfield (Wis.) Clinic Health System tapped American Well for its Marshfield Clinic Virtual Care telehealth platform.
