S&P assigns ‘A’ rating to University Hospitals Health System’s bonds

Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services has assigned an “A” long-term rating to Cleveland-based University Hospitals Health System’s series 2016A hospital revenue bonds, issued by the Ohio Higher Education Facilities Commission.

“The ‘A’ rating reflects our view of UH’s healthy and consistent financial operations, solid business position and focused strategic plan to expand its services and presence in the greater Cleveland market,” said S&P credit analyst Suzie Desai.

The outlook is stable, reflecting S&P’s view of UH’s competitive business position in the Cleveland area and its consistent operating performance.
