Running group donates shoes to Providence Medford Medical Center to help homeless patients

Providence Medford (Ore.) Medical Center received over 100 pairs of running shoes from the Oregon Running Enthusiast Group to help homeless patients have shoes on their feet, according to NBC 53.

The medical center keeps donated clothing in its emergency department to hand out to homeless patients that are treated in its ED.

The donation has already impacted one of the hospital’s patients, who was able to switch out flip flops for gently used athletic shoes, according to the report.
