Moody’s affirms ‘Ba2’ rating for Community Memorial Health System

Moody’s Investors Service affirmed Ventura, Calif.-based Community Memorial Health System’s “Ba2” rating, affecting $339 million of rated debt.

The rating affirmation reflects Moody’s expectation that the system will continue to benefit from strong clinical offerings, an attractive service area and a solid market position. Its newly completed flagship hospital tower is expected to help drive volume increases.

Challenges for Community Memorial Health System include very high leverage and a recent decline in operating performance.

The rating outlook remains negative.
