The 24,342-square-foot emergency center will include 10 exam rooms — including two trauma rooms — as well as CT, X-ray, ultrasound, EKG and other diagnostic and lab equipment. It will also be a level 3 trauma center. The ED is slated to open in spring 2015.
Medical West is an affiliate of Birmingham-based UAB Health System, according to the report.
