For-profit hospital stock report: Week of Aug. 6-10

Four of the five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices fall last week.

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare saw the greatest decrease in share price, 15.9 percent.

Here's how the five operators stacked up as of Aug. 10:

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $3.09 per share (down 4 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $128.17 per share (down 1.5 percent)
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $64.55 per share (down 0.2)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $32.29 per share (down 15.9 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $124.41 per share (up 0.2 percent)
