Fitch upgrades Washington Hospital to ‘A’

Fitch Ratings upgraded its rating on Washington (Pa.) Hospital to “A” from “A-.” The credit agency also assigned the hospital an issuer default rating of “A.”

The upgrade is a result of several factors, including the hospital’s improved leverage and liquidity metrics, limited capital spending needs, and leading market position.

The outlook was revised to positive from stable.
