Fitch affirms Wright Memorial Hospital’s bonds

Fitch Ratings has affirmed the “BBB-” rating on Trenton, Mo.-based Wright Memorial Hospital’s series 2009 health facilities revenue bonds, affecting $28.6 million issued by Grundy County Industrial Development Authority.

The affirmation was based on a number of factors, including WMH’s improved operating performance and its affiliation with Kansas City, Mo.-based St. Luke’s Health System.

The rating could be pressured by a significant material decline in SLHS’ credit profile. It could also be pressured if WMH and SLHS discontinue their relationship.

The rating outlook is stable.
