The money will go toward the clinical laboratory and surgical departments at CHMC.
Specifically, proceeds will help purchase a new microbiology testing system that the hospital says will allow its physicians to quickly identify microorganisms in patients. Proceeds will also help purchase equipment such as high-tech scopes coupled with miniature high-definition chip cameras. The hospital said this equipment is used to diagnose and treat a number of urological diseases.
