Chartered Health was placed into voluntary receivership in October citing financial problems. Its contract with the district expires next week, after which beneficiaries will transfer to AmeriHealth Caritas, which is buying Chartered’s assets, according to a report by the Washington Post.
Mayor Gray did not outline specifics of his relief plan, only assuring that providers would see stabilizing payments.
