According to the report, the hospital has been struggling with monthly shortfalls and declines in inpatient volumes. What’s more, Alameda Hospital has had no other source of cash reserves since July and payments to vendors are on average 24.5 days past due.
The Alameda Health Care District is considering opening a wound care clinic in Marina Village to help boost revenues. Other possibilities include borrowing.
