University administrators sent a message to faculty and staff Wednesday stating the university is “close, but not quite ready to move into the new children’s hospital.” Administrators stressed the decision followed careful consideration of the staff who have been working “around the clock” to prepare the facility for the Dec. 10 opening, according to the article.
Officials did not disclose a new date for the opening.
The announcement comes after thousands of visitors attended an exclusive tour of the hospital Nov. 6.
