South Bay Hospital to complete expansion project next month: 4 things to know

South Bay Hospital in Sun City Center, Fla., hopes to complete a $30 million expansion and renovation project in early December, reports Tampa Bay Times.

Here are four things to know about the project.

1. Expansion efforts include the construction of a 30,900-square-foot patient tower with private rooms, including a 14-bed progressive care service and 12 additional intensive care beds, according to the report.

2. The new tower, which boosts the hospital’s bed count to 138, was also designed to accommodate the future construction of two more floors.

3. The expansion will increase the number of parking spaces at the hospital from 80 spaces to 210.

4. Renovation efforts include a new hospital entrance and an updated main lobby and gift shop, among other features.
